TUSCALOOSA, ALA — SEBaseball.com, a college baseball website devoted to southern collegiate baseball, announced its all-Summer team today.

The teams were comprised of players participating in sanctioned summer leagues who play for colleges inside the SEBaseball.com coverage area, consisting of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Vanderbilt leads the list with three players, including starting pitchers Ryan Mullins, Jensen Lewis and Michael Wagner.  Two were selected from Georgia Tech, LSU, Middle Tennessee State, with one player represented by Winthrop. Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Louisiana-Lafayette, North Carolina, and North Carolina-Wilmington .

SP Ryan Mullins, Vanderbilt
5-1/1.82/54.1 IP, Cape Cod League — Mullins, a rising junior at Vanderbilt, earned first team all Cape Cod League honors as a starting pitcher. Mullins went 5-1 with a 1.82 ERA and earned a designation as eighth best pro prospect in the Cape by Baseball America. He was given the honor of starting the Cape all-star game.

SP Jensen Lewis, Vanderbilt
4-0/1.73/52 IP, Cape Cod League — Lewis, a rising junior at Vanderbilt, completed the summer with a 4-0 record and a sparkling 1.73 ERA. Lewis was an all-star game selection and was selected as the 21st best pro prospect in the Cape by Baseball America.

SP Mike Wagner, Vanderbilt
6-0/1.79/55.1 IP, Valley League — Wagner, a first team all-Valley selection as a starting pitcher, gives Vanderbilt three starting pitchers on the all-Summer team. Wagner led the Valley League in wins and earned run average.

1B Phillip Hawke, Louisiana-Lafayette
.301/11/41, Northwoods League — Hawke, a junior, finished first in the NWL in home runs (11), RBI (41), and slugging percentage (.510). The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native finished eighth in the league in batting average (.301) and second in on-base percentage (.443). Hawke played in all 64 games for the Bucks, finishing with 10 doubles and only three errors.

2B Gibbs Chapman, Florida State
.327/9/24, Texas Collegiate Baseball League — An TCBL all-star selection at second base, Chapman will return to Florida State after a solid summer. Chapman slugged nine home runs and hit .327 for Highland Park.

3B Jon Skorupski, Florida
.331/9/28, Valley League — Skorupski belted nine home runs – good enough for third best in the Valley. The Florida infielder’s .331 average was good for eighth among those with at least 100 at bats.

SS Tyler Greene, Georgia Tech
.296/1/13/13 sbs, Cape Cod League — The Georgia Tech shortstop hit .296, ninth best in the league, with one home run and 13 runs batted in for the Cardinals this season, and he led the team with 23 runs scored and 13 stolen bases. Greene finished second the Cape Cod League home run contest and was also voted the league’s Robert A. McNeece Outstanding Pro Prospect Award.

C Michael McKenry, MTSU
.321/7/17, Clark-Griffith League — The Middle Tennessee State catcher McKenry slugged seven home runs and hit .321 for the CGCBL League Champion Bethesda Big Train. McKenry was named co-MVP of the Joe Branzell Clark-Griffith League All-Star Game.

OF Ryan Patterson, LSU
.327/5/25, Cape Cod League — Patterson, a rising senior at LSU, won the Thurman Munson Award given to the Batting Champion of the Cape Cod League. Patterson is the second consecutive LSU player to win the award after former teammate JC Holt in 2003.

OF Daniel Carte, Winthrop
.308/11/38, Cape Cod League — Carte, an outfielder at Winthrop, received the Pat Sorenti Award given to the Cape Cod League MVP. Carte hit .308 with 11 home runs, 30 runs scored and 38 RBI to go along with a .560 slugging percentage. He led the league in home runs and RBI and also had 10 stolen bases which put him as only one of six players all-time in the Cape Cod League to hit 10 or more home runs and steal more than 10 bases. Carte was rated the seventh best pro prospect in the Cape by Baseball America.

OF Tommy Lentz, Winthrop
.335/9/33, Coastal Plains League — Lentz, another Winthrop outfielder, hit .335 with nine home runs, 16 doubles, 29 runs scored and 33 RBI. He led the league in home runs and doubles and was second in RBI behind Winthrop teammate Jacob Dempsey.

OF Todd Martin, MTSU
.381/7/26, Atlantic Coastal League — Martin would have won the ACL batting crown going away if he would have just had a few more at bats. The outfielder who is transferring from Tennessee to Middle Tennessee State hit .381 with seven home runs and 26 RBI.

OF Bruce Sprowl, LSU
.340/6/26/21 sbs, Valley League — Sprowl, a first team all-Valley selection as an outfielder, hit .341, good for fifth in the league. The LSU outfielder also drilled six homers, drove in 26 runs, and stole 21 bases.

SP Ryan Turner, Georgia Tech
5-0/1.24/43.2 IP, New England Collegiate Baseball League — Turner, a Georgia Tech lefthander, went 5-0 with a 1.24 ERA this summer in the NEBCL.

SP Andrew Miller, North Carolina
2-0/2.03/40 IP, Cape Cod League — Miller was dominating at times this summer at the Cape totaling 48 strikeouts in 40 innings. The North Carolina rising sophomore was rated the top pro prospect in the Cape by Baseball America.

RP Chris Dennis, Auburn
2-2/0.99/15 svs/36.1 IP, Valley League — Dennis, a first team all-Valley selection as a relief pitcher, led the Valley League in saves with 15. The rising junior at Auburn was also tabbed as the top pro prospect in the Valley by Baseball America.

RP Jeff Moore, UNC-Wilmington
1-0/0.76/8 svs/23.2 IP, Coastal Plains League — Moore was dominant striking out 37 batters in 23.2 innings. Opponents hit just .104 off the UNC-Wilmington closer.
