ATHENS, Ga. — The Commodore duo of seniors Kelly Schamndt and Aleke Tsoubanos advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Doubles Tournament, a feat which was matched by junior Audra Falk, who made her way to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Singles Tournament at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Schmandt and Tsoubanos defeated Manon Kruse and Carien Venter of Middle Tennessee State, 6-7, 7-6, 6-3. They will take on the pairing of Muth and Wei from William & Mary, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 winners over Thompson and Thompson of Notre Dame. The time of Thursday’s match is to be determined.
 
Falk, ranked No. 13 by the ITA, took out the tournament’s fifth seed, Alexis Gordon of Florida, 7-5, 6-2. She will face fourth-seeded Amber Liu of Stanford, who defeated Margarita Karnaukhova of Sacremento State, 6-3, 6-0. The singles quarterfinals are scheduled to begin at Noon CT on Thursday, May 27.
