Chad Harris Advances Through NCAA First Round
TULSA, Okla. — Vanderbilt senior Chad Harris advanced to the second round of the NCAA Singles Tournament with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Jamie Cerretani of Brown Wednesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Harris next will face Texas A&M’s Lester Cook, who defeated Claes Lindholm of Ole Miss Wednesday. The match is scheduled for Thursday at 9 a.m. CT.
The NCAA Doubles Tournament also begins on Thursday, and Harris will be pulling double duty. Harris and VU junior Scott Brown, appearing in their second NCAA Doubles Tournament together, will take on Jonathan Chu and David Lingman of Harvard. The time of that match is yet to be determined.
