Falk, Schmandt Begin NCAA Singles Tournament Monday 5/24/2004 ATHENS, Ga. — Junior Audra Falk and senior Kelly Schmandt will take part in the NCAA Singles Championships, which begins Monday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Both Falk, seeded in the top 16 nationally, and Schmandt are scheduled to begin play at 9 a.m. CT. Falk, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, will face Petra Dizdar of Texas in the 64-woman tournament’s first round. Schmandt, a product of Santa Barbara, Calif., has drawn Svetlana Kouzmenko of SMU as an opening day opponent. Schmandt and fellow-senior Aleke Tsoubanos will join together as the seventh-ranked pair to face Katie Ruckert and Kendra Strohm of Texas in the first round. |
