The live broadcast can be seen on College Sport TV (CSTV). The Commodores (5-2, 1-0 ALC) are looking to rebound from a hard-fought 16-13 loss at No. 7 Duke last weekend. Senior Michelle Allen had five goals and an assist in that game, and is currently the Commodores’ second-leading scorer with 25 total points. Senior Lauren Peck, who contributed four goals and two assists last Sunday, leads Vanderbilt with 23 goals and 29 points. On Tuesday, the Bluejays (9-0, 3-0 ALC) defeated Penn for their ninth straight win. Vanderbilt is only the third ranked team that Johns Hopkins has faced this season, while the Commodores have amassed a 3-2 record against teams in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Top 20. The Jays have been led this season by 32 goals from freshman Mary Key. In two previous matchups, each team has been victorious on the road. In 2002, the Commodores defeated Johns Hopkins, 7-4, in the first match of newly formed American Lacrosse Conference in Baltimore. The Commodores hold an 11-2 record all-time in the ALC. In March, VU opened the 2004 league season by defeating then-No. 10 Penn State, 16-12, to avenge a 2003 loss. Vanderbilt’s only other ALC loss came in Nashville to JHU last March. |
