Roguski’s fourth weekly honor, Peck’s first — Senior Jess Roguski received honorable mention from the staff of Inside Lacrosse (insidelacrosse.com) for her play in Vanderbilt’s 17-11 victory over then-No. 16 Yale. In the first half of Saturday’s match, Roguski contributed four goals to the Commodore effort on perfect 4-of-4 shooting. In the second half, she assisted on the eventual game-winning goal.

Roguski has received a similar honor each of the past three weeks. She was named to the womenslacrosse.com honor roll on consecutive weeks, following VU victories over No. 10 Penn State and No. 17 Stanford. In those two games, the Baltimore, Md. native combined for five goals, four ground balls and 10 draw controls to lead the Commodores to a pair of key wins.

For her contribution to the victory over league-rival Penn State, Roguski also was named Player of the Week by the American Lacrosse Conference. She became the first Commodore so-honored since Michelle Allen won the award on April 21, 2003, and the fourth VU honoree overall.

Senior Lauren Peck scored six goals against Yale and earned honorable mention from womenslacrosse.com this week. The Arnold, Md., product scored four times in the game’s first half, including three tallies on 8-meter attempts. The six goals bested Peck’s previous career high by two goals, and was the highest output by a Commodore since March 25, 2003, when Roguski matched the total against Northwestern.
