Commodore-in-Chief Winner 3/5/2004 Commodore-in-Chief Winner Bobby Garner, from Nashville, has been selected as Commodore-in-Chief for Vanderbilt men’s basketball. A Vanderbilt fan for 34 years, his prizes include two box seats at the Mississippi State game; free Vanderbilt apparel; his picture posted on vucommodores.com; attendance at a closed practice; and much more. Bobby is a Construction Superintendent for Nashville Gas. He recounts his father as his major influence in deciding to root for the Commodores. His all-time favorite players are Barry Goheen and Billy McCaffrey. His favorite Commodore moments include Vanderbilt beating Pittsburgh in 1988; winning the NIT in 1990, and any victory over the Kentucky Wildcats. Congratulations Bobby! |
