Men’s Cross Country Places Tenth At SEC Championships 11/3/2003 Men’s Cross Country Places Tenth At SEC Championships Athens, GA. – The Vanderbilt men’s cross country team finished tenth at the SEC Championships held today in Athens, GA. The Commodores finished with an overall score of 306 on the 8K course. Arkansas wom the meet with a team score of 33, while Kentucky senior Thomas Morgan won individual honors with a time of 24:59.25. Georgia (58), Florida (95), Alabama (97), and Kentucky (122) rounded out the top five teams. Vanderbilt was led by senior John Cote (59th, 27:39.19), and sophomores Eric Walle (62nd, 27:50.23), and Tyler Harlan (63rd, 27:54.51). Also racing for Vanderbilt were juniors Mike Gaske (69th, 28:16.41), Matt Doll (71st, 28:23.07), James Guthrie (73rd, 28:41.57), Taylor Hindle (80th, 30:06.25), and freshman Mike Gabrys (81st, 30:07.40).
