Women’s Cross Country looks to continue Impressive Season at SEC Championships 11/2/2003 The Vanderbilt women’s cross country team will compete in the SEC Championships on Monday, November 3 in Athens, Georgia. Vanderbilt looks to continue its season with a strong performance at this championship meet, as they prepare for the NCAA Regionals later this month. The Commodores have counted on young talent all season, and will continue to rely on their youth as they face their toughest test of the season. Sophomore Erika Schneble, and freshmen Ashleigh Wetzel, Debbie Huss, and Amy Huss have led the team all season. This will be a tough test for the Commodores, but they have a chance to make Vanderbilt history. Vanderbilt has never placed better than fourth in the SEC Championship meet. The Commodores have been successful against SEC competition all year. Despite Arkansas narrowly defeating Vanderbilt at the Chile Pepper Invitational, the Commodores have beaten all other SEC competition they have faced this season. |
