List’s 65 Sets VU Mark 10/28/2003
List’s 65 Sets VU Mark Freshman Luke List established a Vanderbilt men’s golf record Tuesday with a seven-under par effort at LSU’s Country Club of Louisiana Invitational. List’s outstanding 65 allowed him to finish in fourth place individually while the Commodore team ended in a tie for 10th place, 24 shots behind LSU’s winning team total of 857 (seven-under par). List, who posted earlier rounds of 76 and 71, set the school record for most shots under par in a round. Former Commodore Brandt Snedeker had several rounds of 65 but none were seven-under par. North Florida’s Michael Young won medalist honors at eight-under for the 54 holes. “Luke’s round today was outstanding but otherwise it was a bit of a disappointing tournament for us,” said Vanderbilt Coach Press McPhaul. “It was one of those events where we just couldn’t get things going.” Vanderbilt individuals Luke List 71-75-65 — 212 (-4)Ben McClung 71-75-76Dos Goldsmith 74-78-74Mark Donnell 76-73-78Lance Goodson 73-80-75 |
