VU Men’s Golfers Fifth at SMU Stonebridge Vanderbilt’s men’s golf team finished in a tie for fifth place at the SMU Stonebridge Invitational Tuesday afternoon. The Commodores finished 24-over par over the 54-hole test, just six shots more than team champion Notre Dame. There were 17 teams competing in the event. Freshman Luke list paced the Vanderbilt team, adding a three-over par 75 today to a pair of 72’s he shot in Monday’s opening rounds. Here are the Vanderbilt competitors: Luke List (72-72-75) 219 +3 (10th place) Day 1 The Vanderbilt men’s golf team finds itself in fourth place heading into Tuesday’s final 18 holes at the SMU Stonebridge Invitational. The Commodores shot rounds of 290 and 293 for a 583 total, one shot out of second place and just seven away from tournament host and team leader SMU. Junior Mark Donnell and freshman Luke List paced Vanderbilt. Donnell is in sixth place after firing rounds of 69 and 73, two-under par) while List added two steady rounds of even par 72. He is in 10th place, nine shots off the pace set by Colt Knost of SMU. Other Vanderbilt scores include: Lance Goodson (73-74); Ben McClung (76-74) and Dos Goldsmith (80-74). There are 17 teams competing in the event. |
