Former Commodore Nalley dead at 78

Lee Nalley Jr., a Vanderbilt football player who left his name in the NCAA records book, died Sunday. He was 78.

Nalley had suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today at the Bowling Funeral Home in Rocky Mount, N.C., where Nalley had retired to in 1986.
