The basics: The 2017 NCAA Bowling Championship will occur April 13-15 at the Baton Rouge River Center.

The schedule: See attachment. There will be five qualifying rounds Thursday beginning at 12:50 p.m. (CDT). The qualifying continues Friday morning with two more matches starting at 10:50 a.m that will complete the round-robin and establish the bracket.

The double-elimination play starts Friday at 3:05 p.m. Elimination play continues Saturday with Round 3 at 8:30 a.m and Round 4 at 10:20. If there are still three teams alive at this point, an if-necessary round will be played at noon. The championship game is set for 5:30 p.m. CDT.

Follow from afar: Fans will be able to watch every match. NCAA.com will livestream all the qualifying and elimination rounds and ESPNU will televise the championship live. ESPNU will then televise a tape delayed version Sunday at 6:00 p.m. CDT.

The field: Nebraska, McKendree, Arkansas State, Sam Houston State, Vanderbilt, Fairleigh Dickinson, Stephen F. Austin and Maryland-Eastern Shore.

Awards Banquet: The annual NCAA Awards Banquet is Wednesday night. The highlight of the evening is the announcement of the National Ten Pin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-America teams and various special awards.

Educational side trip: The Commodores fly to New Orleans Tuesday and before making their way to Baton Rouge they will pay a visit to the outstanding World War II Museum in the Big Easy.
