NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A total of 50 schools will compete in Vanderbilt’s biggest home meet of the indoor season, the Music City Challenge, including SEC foes Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee. The meet will be Friday and Saturday in the David Williams II Recreation Center.

Friday’s action is set to being at 11 a.m. with the high jump; running events begin at 4:30 p.m.
Team notes
• Vanderbilt took its first road trip of the season last weekend when it traveled to Boston to compete in the Crimson Elite and Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational.
• For the third consecutive meet, Julia Rosenberg posted a personal best in the mile, dropping 7 seconds from her previous best time. Her time of 4:39.03 is No. 2 in school history.
• Emma Curry added her name to the Vanderbilt record books, turning in the fourth-fastest mile time in program history (4:46.08).
• Anaya Webster earned her first collegiate win at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational with a 5.88-meter jump. She has improved her long jump mark at every meet thus far this season and now ranks fourth on the Vanderbilt all-time performers list.
• At the Crimson Elite, Falon Spearman added her name to the program all-time top 10 list with an 8.51-second mark in the 60-meter hurdles, which is also a personal best.
• Allyria McBride and Madison Murray improved their season and personal-best marks in Boston and moved up on Vanderbilt’s all-time top 10 list in their respective events, the 400 meters and the pentathlon.
• Her last time out at the Vanderbilt Invitational, Giavonna Meeks reset the school record in the weight throw with a 21.47-meter toss. She is the top-ranked freshman and fourth overall in the weight throw in the SEC at this point in the season.
