Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh and his 10th-ranked Commodores travel to the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational this Sunday through Tuesday in Windermere, Fla., in one of college golf’s premiere tournaments of the season. Seven of the nation’s top 13 men’s teams in America will tee it up at the par-72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Golf and Country Club.

“Obviously, we are very excited to have the opportunity to play in such a prestigious event as the ICI,” said Limbaugh. “I have had the opportunity to coach at this tournament several years and it’s a first class event on an unbelievable golf course. The field is one of the strongest of the year so it will certainly be a great challenge.”

In the field this week are #8-ranked Alabama, #13-ranked Arkansas, Augusta State, #1-ranked California, #5-ranked Florida, Illinois, Indiana, LSU, #6-ranked New Mexico, North Florida, TCU, #2-ranked Texas, Texas Tech, UCF, and #10-ranked Vanderbilt.

The Commodores, who won their own Mason Rudolph Championship in late September and finished in a tie for second in a strong field at their last tournament, the Jack Nicklaus Invitational in Columbus, Ohio, will send junior Charlie Ewing, sophomores Hunter Stewart, Jordan Janico, and Ben Fogler, and freshman Zack Jaworski to compete in Isleworth.

“I continue to be excited about the work ethic of our guys,” said Limbaugh. “They are committed to getting better every single day and have shown that they are capable of being very resilient. Consistency still seems to be our one area that we have to get better. Everyone has to make a decision every single day if they want to be great or just get by. We must choose to be great and not just try to get by.”

Tee times begin at 8 a.m. off of number one and 8:25 a.m. off #10 each day. Eighteen holes will be played each day Sunday-Tuesday.

Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com throughout the tournament.
