The Commodore men’s golf team will participate in their final tournament of the fall when they tee it up at the Eagle/Osprey Intercollegiate this Monday and Tuesday in Jacksonville. Vanderbilt and 14 other schools will play at the par-72, 7,223-yard Deerwood Country Club for a 54-hole event, with 36 holes played Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.

Vanderbilt, ranked 18th in the last Golfweek rankings, will be joined by Florida Gulf Coast, Francis Marion, Furman, GRU Augusta, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Lipscomb, Loyola (Md.), Mercer, North Florida, Southern Mississippi, Southeastern Louisiana, Troy, and Tulsa.

The Commodores will send juniors Ben Fogler and Hunter Stewart, sophomores Zack Jaworski and Carson Jacobs, and freshman Matthias Schwab to compete at the Eagle/Osprey, with senior Charlie Ewing participating as an individual.

“This is a great opportunity for our team to finish this fall season on a positive note,” said Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh. “We have been working to build off some of the positive areas we had in our last tournament and improve so we can move one step closer to being the team that we know we can be.”

There will be no live scoring for the tournament, so stay tuned to vucommodores.com and the men’s golf team’s official Twitter handle, @VandyMensGolf, for updates.
