JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt men’s golf team travels across the state of Tennessee this weekend to take part in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, hosted by East Tennessee State University at the Ridges Golf and Country Club.

The three-day, 54-hole event begins on Friday morning. Now in its 11th year, the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate plays on the Ridges’ par-72, 7,001-yard layout.

Seniors Jon Curran and John Ebert, junior Hudson Johnson, and sophomores Ryan Haselden and Adam Hofmann will represent the Commodores this weekend. Curran, Hofmann and Haselden all appeared in the 2007 Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, scoring on day three as Vanderbilt went under par on the tournament’s third and final day.

Head Coach Tom Shaw’s Commodores have been off for the past four weeks after placing fifth at their own 2008 Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate in September. Shaw scheduled four events for the fall season, concluding with the 2008 Hummingbird Intercollegiate next week in Cashiers, N.C., hosted by Western Carolina.

All golfers in the 75-player field will leave from the first hole, with the Commodores teeing off at 11:50 a.m. ET with Virginia. Live scoring and complete results of the event will be presented by Golfstat.
