SAPPHIRE, N.C. — The Vanderbilt men’s golf team is playing at the 2009 Hummingbird Intercollegiate this week at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley.
Head Coach Tom Shaw’s Commodores have earned runner-up finishes in each of the past two years. Vanderbilt senior Hudson Johnson is the tournament’s defending champion.
Johnson is joined this week by junior Ryan Haselden, sophomores Trey DelGreco and Ben Klaus, and freshman Will Snipes.
The Commodores are scheduled to tee off at 9:45 a.m. ET with Chattanooga and host Western Carolina.
The par-71 course is playing at 6,767 yards this week.
