Notes

Tinsley Makes History Against Presbyterian
Junior guard Brad Tinsley tallied Vanderbilt’s first-ever triple-double against Presbyterian when he posted 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Tinsley, from Oregon City, Oregon, assumed the point guard role from the graduated Jermaine Beal, who was an all-SEC first-team selection in 2009-10. Tinsley garnered his first ever SEC Player of the Week honor on Monday afternoon.

Taylor Has Career-Best Night
Lost in the exhuberance of Tinsley’s triple double was junior forward Jeffery Taylor’s career-high 27-point effort. Taylor was 11-for-12 from the floor against the Blue Hose, which tied Mike Rhodes’ for the second-best field goal percentage in a single game with 10 or more attempts from the floor. Rhodes went 11-for-12 (.917) against Alabama on January 21, 1978. A.J. Ogilvy has the all-time record for a single-game field goal percentage (12-for-13, Auburn, 3/13/08).
