List Second at Carpet Capital Collegiate DALTON, GA – Vanderbilt’s Luke List finished in a tie for second place Sunday at the Carpet Capital Collegiate. The Commodore sophomore finished the 54-hole tournament at two-over par, one shot behind Rhys Davies of East Tennessee State. The Vanderbilt team didn’t fare as well, placing 14th in the difficult field of 18 teams. Georgia won the team title by two shots over Wake Forest with Georgia Tech placing third. List had been the individual leader after 36 holes. Playing near his hometown, List shot one-over 73 and three under 69 before slipping to a final round 76. Freshman Brett Lange was Vanderbilt’s second best finisher, shooting rounds of 76-78-72. Seniors Mark Donnell, Lance Goodson and Ben McClung all had strong rounds with one poor outing to cloud their tournament efforts. |
