Lange Leads MG Team On Day Two

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. — Senior Brett Lange shot a two-under 70 on Saturday in the second round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at Ridges, but the Commodore men’s golf team was unable to move up from 15th place overall.

Lange carded four birdies against two bogeys on the day to shoot Vanderbilt’s lone round under-par. As a team, the Commodores finished with a six-over 294 on the day, shaving seven strokes off their opening round score.

Junior Jon Curran went even-par over his last nine holes to finish with a two-over 74. Sophomore Chris Rockwell and freshman Ryan Haselden both went three-over on the day, while freshman Adam Hofmann shot a five-over 77.

Wake Forest leads host East Tennessee State by one stroke with 18 holes left to play on Sunday. Tennessee’s Chris Paisley holds a three-stroke lead in the individual standings.

Vanderbilt will tee off at 8:45 a.m. ET Sunday, leaving from the 10th hole with Maryland and Virginia.

The Commodores play host to the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate, their lone home event of the season, beginning next Sunday, Oct. 21.
