Dec. 2, 2010

Vanderbilt senior Molly Kinsella has earned third-team All-South Region honors, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced Thursday.

“We are extremely proud of Molly receiving yet another honor this season,” VU Head Coach Ronnie Woodard said. “The career she has put together at Vanderbilt is remarkable and it’s great to see her get this sort of recognition.”

The Memphis native was among team leaders in goals, points and assists this season, and finished her Vanderbilt career in the school’s all-time Top 10 in all three statistical categories.

Kinsella recently became the first Vanderbilt student-athlete to earn first-team CoSIDA Academic All-America status. She boasts a 3.89 grade point average and has been accepted to Pharmacy School at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

Kinsella is a finalist for the 2010 Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award, the winner of which will be announced this weekend during the Women’s College Cup.
