Jaworski, Schwab to compete at Sun Bowl Western Refining All-America

Senior Zack Jaworski and junior Matthias Schwab will compete at the Sun Bowl Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic this weekend in El Paso, Texas, in one of the premier college golf tournaments in the country. This weekend’s field consists of 21 golfers who were named as All-Americans in 2015.

Alumni of the Golf Classic have gone on to earn more than $1.6 billion and winning 617 events on the PGA Tour. Over 145 colleges and universities have participated in the tournament, raising more than $753,000 in scholarship money for the participating institutions. Each university represented by the Western Refining College All-Americans will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Vanderbilt alum and current PGA Tour member Luke List won the event in 2005, and alum Brandt Snedeker competed in the All-America in 2002.

List, Stewart in Sanderson Farms Championship

List and 2015 First-Team All-American Hunter Stewart will compete at the PGA Tour’s Sanderson Farms Championship this weekend at the Country Club of Jackson in Jackson, Miss.

Stewart tees off at 8:14 a.m. CT Thursday off of the 10th tee, while List begins his first round at 1 p.m. off of number 10.

The event will be the first of the season for List, who earned his card in September, and the second for Stewart, who played in October at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas.
