ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — Vanderbilt advanced to the championship match of the SEC Championships on Sunday with a 4-1- win over Alabama on the Seaside Course at the Sea Island Golf Club.
The Commodores got a 5&4 win from Cole Sherwood and then a 4&2 win for Reid Davenport. Senior Harrison Ott then sank a long birdie putt on 17 to clinch the match with a 3&1 victory.
Matthew Riedel also won his match 3&1 while William Moll fell 3&1.
Vandy will face Arkansas in the final match of the tournament. The Razorbacks beat Texas A&M 3-1-1 earlier Sunday.
