NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt Track and Field kicked off its outdoor season Thursday at the Bobcat Invitational and Texas Relays.
At the Bobcat Invitational, the Commodores finished 1-2-3 in the 100-meter hurdles, led by Santana Spearman with a winning-time of 13.87 seconds (2.3 m/s). Marta Sivina recorded an all-conditions PR of 13.98 seconds (2.3 m/s) to place second, and Taylor McKinnon clocked 14.20 seconds (2.3 m/s), finishing third.
Falon Spearman punched her ticket to the 400-meter hurdle finals at Texas Relays with a personal-best time of 57.85 seconds, which ranks seventh all-time at Vandy. In the same event, Isabella Dagrosa registered a personal best, turning in a time of 1:02.42.
The track and field team’s opening weekend continues at the Bobcat Invitational and Texas Relays Friday. A handful of distance Dores will also join in on the action at Raleigh Relays. For all live results and streaming links, fans can visit the track & field schedule page.
