NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt track and field kicks off its outdoor season Thursday with a trio of away meets, the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas, Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Texas Relays in Austin, Texas,
Current Vanderbilt student-athletes hold three school records and have registered 18 marks ranking top 10 in program history in individual events. In 2024, the Commodores combined to score 45 points and place eighth as a team at the SEC Outdoor Championships. Vandy also notched 11 regional-qualifying performances during the 2024 outdoor season. Sophomore Lena Gooden advanced to the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships where she set the school record and earned second-team All-America honors.
During the 2025 indoor season, the Dores broke four school records and added 25 marks to the program all-time top 10 lists. Julia Rosenberg set program records in the mile, 3,000 meters and anchored the school record distance medley relay at the SEC Indoor Championships. At the conference meet, Marta Sivina registered a fourth-place finish in the pentathlon, moving to second all-time at Vanderbilt in the event.
The Bobcat Invitational and Texas Relays get underway Thursday morning. Select distance student-athletes will compete at Raleigh Relays Friday afternoon.
