Gomez slugging on the Cape

The Commodores wrapped up one of the most successful seasons in school history with the school’s first-ever trip to the College World Series. However, the season did not end there for many of the Dores with several playing summer ball in some of the best college leagues in the country.

Cape Cod
Jack Armstrong – Yarmouth-Dennis – In three starts Armstrong has posted a 5.27 ERA with 13 strikeouts and 4 walks while going 1-1 this summer.

Anthony Gomez – Orleans – Gomez is among the league leaders this summer hitting .300 in 19 games with two home runs and eight RBI. He also has seven walks and six strikeouts.

Mike Yastrzemski – Cotuit – In 16 games for the Kettleers Yastrzemski is hitting .283 with one homer and 11 RBI.

Connor Harrell – Yarmouth-Dennis – Since arriving on the Cape Harrell has hit .206 with doubles and two RBI in 15 games.

Kevin Ziomek – Cotuit – Ziomek has pitched in four games, three starts, going 1-2 with a 6.55 ERA. He’s fanned nine and walked six over 11 innings.

Northwoods League
Spencer Navin – Rochester – In nine games with the Honkers Navin is hitting .261 with three runs scored.

Tony Kemp – Rochester – Kemp leads the Honkers with a .321 average scoring 11 runs and stealing four bases in 14 games. The Franklin, Tenn. native had a three-hit game earlier this week.

Steven Rice – Mankato – Rice has pitched in 16 games posting a 6.56 ERA and 1-1 record. The lefty has issued 18 walks and fanned 14 in 23.1 innings.

Sam Selman – Mankato – Selman has made four starts going 2-2 with a 2.61 ERA. He’s struck out 19 and walked 15 over 20.2 innings.

Joe Loftus – Mankato – In 22 games for the MoonDogs Loftus is hitting .275 with one home run and 11 RBI. He also pitched 0.2 innings Alexandria earlier this month.

Sam Lind – Mankato – Lind is hitting .253 with four doubles and 11 RBI in 22 games.

New England Collegiate Baseball League
Conrad Gregor – Newport – Gregor continues to hit in his first collegiate summer, hitting .320 with five home runs and 17 RBI in 20 games for the Gulls.

Riley Reynolds – Newport – In 14 games Reynolds is hitting .265 with two doubles and four RBI while playing second and third base.

Jack Lupo – Sanford – Lupo is among the team leaders with his .274 average. He’s knocked in 11 runs and stolen eight bases in 20 games for the Mainers.

Will Johnson – Laconia – Johnson is hitting .279 in 33 games with four home runs and 16 RBI. He was selected as a NECBL All-Star and will play for the East Division on July 27.

Drew Fann – Laconia – Fann was a late addition for the Muskrats but caught a no-hitter shortly after joining the team. He’s hitting .214 with six RBI in 14 games.

Regan Flaherty – Laconia – In 29 games this summer Flaherty is hitting .248 with seven extra-base hits and 11 RBI.

Valley League
Joel McKeithan – Winchester – McKeithan is hitting .267 in 38 games for the Royals hitting a pair of home runs and driving in 24 runs.

Prospect League
Josh Lee – Nashville – Lee is hitting .287 with 10 RBI in 29 games for the Outlaws.

Walter Johnson League
Andrew Harris – Kansas – In his first 19 games with the Cannons, Harris was hitting .290 with nine RBI.

DJ Luna – Kansas – Luna was hitting .202 in 11 games with the Cannons.
