NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt track and field ended its busy Friday on the track competing at the Bobcat Invitational, Raleigh Relays and Texas Relays with a finals qualification in the 4×400-meter relay, and nine top-15 finishes.
Texas Relays
Vandy got the morning started with two top-20 finishes in the 100-meter hurdles prelims. Santana Spearman clocked 13.61 seconds (1.8 m/s) to tie for 14th place, and Taylor McKinnon recorded a time of 13.83 seconds (1.2 m/s) to finish 19th.
In the 100 hurdles timed final, Devyn Parham tied her personal-best time, clocking 14.13 seconds (2.0 m/s) and finishing 11th. Marta Sivina ran a wind-legal personal-best time of 14.18 seconds and came in 13th.
The 4×400-meter relay squad of Allyria McBride, Madyson Wilson, Ella Escobar and Josie Donelson qualified for Saturday’s event final with a time of 3:40.47.
Falon Spearman came in eighth place in the 400-meter hurdles final with a time of 58.62 seconds. During Thursday’s prelims, she clocked a personal best 57.85 seconds and improved her seventh-ranked mark on the Vandy all-time performers list.
Bobcat Invitational
Anaya Webster jumped 5.72 meters to finish 12th in the long jump at the Bobcat Invitational.
For the second time in as many days, Isabella Dagrosa recorded a personal best in the 400 hurdles. She placed first among freshmen and 11th overall with a time of 1:01.05.
Jacqueline Rose cleared 3.45 meters in the pole vault to place 12th overall.
Raleigh Relays
In the 1,500 meters, Julia Rosenberg turned in a time of 4:17.63 to place 13th out of 223 runners.
Ellie Wolski led the Dores in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:28.46, which is a 31-second personal best. Cameron Fawcett and Ella Lambert recorded respective times of 16:52.11 and 17:09.86.
To end the evening in Raleigh, Gigi Clifford registered a 17-second PR in the 10,000 meters and moved to No. 10 on the Commodores’ all-time performers list. She clocked 35:37.90 to place 52nd overall.
