AUSTIN, Texas — Beatrice Juskeviciute and Jada Sims competed in four of seven heptathlon events at the NCAA DI Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday. Juskeviciute entered the competition ranked fourth with a score of 6,079 points. Sims was seeded 24th with a score of 5,638 points.
In the first event of the day, the 100-meter hurdles, Juskeviciute tied her personal-best time of 13.34 seconds, which was the third-best mark of the day. In the same event, Sims recorded a PR of 14.35 seconds.
Both Dores cleared 1.69 meters in the high jump, Juskeviciute’s season best.
In the shot put, Sims threw 11.44 meters, and Juskeviciute recorded a 13.63-meter mark.
To close out the night, Juskeviciute clocked 23.90 seconds, and Sims turned in a personal-best time of 24.71 seconds in the 200 meters.
After one day and four events, Juskeviciute is ranked second with a total of 3,675 points. Sims ranks 21st with 3,309 points.
