Former Commodore Matt Zeller Joins Evansville Otters of Frontier Professional Baseball League

Former Commodore Matt Zeller (Outfielder, L/R, Leawood, Kansas) has signed with the Evansville Otters of the Frontier Professional Baseball League. He joins the Otters today as they take on the Richmond Roosters in the first game of a three-game series.

Zeller played in 49 games his senior season while starting in 37 as an outfielder. He went 37-131 at the plate for a .282 batting average. He totaled 19 runs and 20 RBI. Zeller was the 2005 Omaha Challenge Champion winning three individual titles. The Omaha Challenge – the finale of fall conditioning – is a competition designed to build team unity through numerous resistance, agility, and conditioning tests.

Zeller earned his degree from Vanderbilt in May.
