Before the football team departs for the BBVA Compass Bowl on December 31, fans in Nashville will have one final opportunity to recognize the Commodores for their outstanding regular season and send them on their way to Birmingham.
On December 30, the football team will sign autographs in the Memorial Gym practice gym and be honored at halftime of the men’s basketball game against Saint Louis. Head Coach James Franklin and the team will begin signing autographs at 7 p.m. – one hour before the basketball game tips off at 8 p.m.
The Commodores finished the regular season with a record of 8-4, including wins over Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. Vanderbilt is playing in its third straight bowl game when it meets Houston in the BBVA Compass Bowl on January 4 at Legion Field.
The Commodore men’s basketball team is coming off of a 76-63 win on December 21 against ACC foe Georgia Tech, where the team rallied from a double-digit deficit in the first half to take the win.
