NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt Track and Field continues its outdoor season Friday and Saturday at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida.
The Commodores opened their outdoor season at three different meets, the Bobcat Invitational, Raleigh Relays and Texas Relays. Between the three events, Vanderbilt student-athletes registered five performances ranking in the program’s all-time top 10 and eight personal bests.
At this point in the season, Julia Rosenberg is ranked fifth in the SEC, 22nd in the nation in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:17.63. Falon Spearman sits fifth in the conference and is tied for 11th in the NCAA with a 400-meter hurdles time of 57.85 seconds, the No. 7 mark in program history.
In addition to Spearman’s program all-time top 10 mark over the weekend, Anaya Webster, Pryncess Jackson and Anya Carey moved into the fifth, sixth, and seventh-ranked spots on the Commodores’ all-time performers list in the triple jump with respective parks of 11.99, 11.95 and 11.51 meters. Gigi Clifford also added her named to the Vandy record books in the 10,000 meters with a time of 35:37.90, ranked 10th in school history.
