The Commodores got off to a start this weekend with Ellie Tidman and Brionne Williams in the high jump and Kristen Findley setting a new school record (
Watch) in the 1000m events at the Meyo Invitational in Indiana.
Findley’s 2:49.6 1000m mark was good for second place in her heat, third overall, and a new Vanderbilt record. Findley set a new personal best in the last meet, showing her growing strength as a junior.
Tidman and Williams, who took part in the high jump, cleared the bar at 5’7 (1.70m).
Vanderbilt continues on tomorrow morning, with events beginning at 9a.m. CT.
