DES MOINES, Iowa —Vanderbilt senior Kristen Findley placed eighth in the 1,500 meters at the 104th Drake Relays on Saturday, April 27. She crossed the line in a season-best 4:21.09.
Findley’s time in the event is continuing to improve, just as it did last year when she ran a personal best 4:16.57 at the SEC Championships. Georgia’s Carly Hamilton won the collegiate race with a time of 4:12.15.
She was the only Commodore to compete this weekend as the University concluded final exams. Several Vanderbilt athletes will head to Clemson next weekend as a final tune-up for the SEC Championships, May 9-12, in Columbia, Mo.
