NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt’s season opener against No. 3 Georgia has been shifted from the SEC Network to ESPN, the network announced Thursday.
The move comes with ESPN updating its television schedule for Week 1 due to Hurricane Dorian approaching the state of Florida. The announcing crew of Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic remain on the call for the matchup.
Vanderbilt is 80-45-4 all-time in season openers. The Commodores will be seeking their third straight victory in a season opener, with both wins coming against Middle Tennessee. This marks the ninth time in the last 10 years for the Commodores to open the season in Vanderbilt Stadium.
Due to Hurricane #Dorian approaching the state of Florida, ESPN has updated its television schedule for Week 1.
