Duo Represents Vanderbilt on the International Stage

Beatrice Juskeviciute leads the heptathlon after Day One, Brooke Overholt advanced to the event final

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Beatrice Juskeviciute and Brooke Overholt completed Day One at the Lithuanian and Canadian Outdoor Championships on Saturday.

On the first day of competition at the Lithuanian Outdoor Championships, Juskeviciute recorded a wind-legal personal best of 13.33 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, which is third all-time in Lithuania. She cleared 1.66 meters in the high jump and reached the 12.24-meter mark in the shot put. To close out the day, she clocked 23.96 seconds in the 200 meters. After four events, Juskeviciute leads the field of heptathletes by 649 points.

She will compete in the remaining three events on Sunday, and results will be posted online.

Overholt finished first in her heat and second overall with a time of 58.15 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles semifinals at the Canadian Outdoor Championships. She will compete in the final on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. CT. Live results will be available online.
