LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Vanderbilt track and field team competed at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in the mile and 3,000 meters.
Cameron Fawcett, Ella Lambert, and Julia Rosenberg raced in the women’s mile to commence the day for the Commodores. The trio notched personal bests in the event with Fawcett leading the way with a time of 4:56.11 in eighth place.
Lambert [4:56.93] followed closely in 10th and Rosenberg [5:02.99] solidified Vandy’s top-20 finish in the mile coming in 17th overall.
Joslin Blair competed in the women’s 3,000 meter run for the first time in her collegiate career. Her time of 9:55.95 placed her fifth overall.
Nick Laning [4:10.83] finished fifth, Jonah Bird [4:21.42] placed 25th, and Philip Metcalf’s [4:22.31] time placed him 26th in the men’s mile. Zach Hodges finished the event at 4:33.31.
Caleb Van Geffen’s top-25 time of 8:49.74 positioned him for 23rd in the men’s 3,000 meters.
Vanderbilt will travel to compete in the two-day Charlie Thomas Invitational hosted by Texas A&M, beginning on Friday.
