Dores’ Rally Continues in Miami

Play continues on Day 2 against No. 21 Miami

MIAMI — After another short delay, the Vanderbilt women’s tennis team continued play at the Miami Spring Invite Saturday, facing the host Hurricanes in three doubles matches and seven singles matches.
 
Of the three matches, the doubles victory went to Sonya Macavei and Holly Staff, who defeated Antonia Balzert and Audrey Boch-Collins.
 
Macavei picked up wins in singles and doubles to lead the way for the No. 17 Commodores during Saturday’s play.
 
In singles, Vanderbilt secured wins in three of the seven matches against the Hurricanes. Miami native and freshman Valeria Ray continued her winning streak, as did junior Célia-Belle Mohr.
