Feb. 10, 2012
Freshman Erin Edmonds, and sophomores Brionne Williams and Ellie Tidman opened the weekend of events with the high jump for the Commodores, who divided themselves amongst three meets as they head down the stretch to the SEC Indoor Championships in two weeks.
Both Williams and Tidman cleared the 5-7.00 bar for the high jump, and Williams went on to clear a 5-8.75 leap. Williams previously set a new record for herself, clearing a bar at 5-10.23 at Lexington a month ago. She stands as the No. 2 all-time at Vanderbilt in the event, behind Josie Hahn’s 2004 mark of six feet even.
The meet continues tomorrow, with running events beginning at noon and the pole vault slotted for 1:00 p.m.
The four runners competing at the University of Washington’s Husky Classic–Louise Hannallah, Liz Anderson, Jordan White and Kristen Findley–will compete tomorrow, as will Grace Orders in the Cross Country World Trials in St. Louis, Mo. Orders’ race is slated for 11:45 a.m. CT.
Check back tomorrow for a full list of results.
