“I thought today was an outstanding start, and honestly I thought it was one of the best rounds we’ve played all year,” said Vanderbilt men’s golf head coach Scott Limbaugh. “We really wanted the guys to come out with a lot of energy and excitement, and I thought they did that. I thought we did the things that we needed to at a high level. We didn’t have a lot of hiccups today, but we’ve got to be able to overcome challenges on a week like this. Emotionally and physically, we’ve got to be tough enough to overcome adversity when it pops up. Round 2 is a huge day at this tournament. Our guys need to be ready to go first thing in the morning and be excited about the opportunity in front of them.”
