The Commodore men’s golf faces another stiff test this week when they travel to Windermere, Fla., to participate in the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational and a field that features nine of the nation’s top 30 teams and three of the top six. The tournament will be played Sunday-Tuesday at the Isleworth Golf and Country Club with 18 holes played each day on the par-72, 7,387-yard format.

Vanderbilt, ranked number 20 in the latest Golfweek rankings, will be joined by #1 Alabama, #25 Arkansas, #4 California, #30 Florida State, #27 Georgia Regents-Augusta, #6 Illinois, LSU, #11 New Mexico, North Florida, TCU, #17 Texas, Texas Tech, #16 UCF, and UNLV for the three day event.

“We are looking forward to competing against the best this week in one of the Majors in college golf,” said Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh. “It will definitely be a challenge because of the strength of the field and the difficulty of the golf course and to me that is all very exciting. I think that is why you come to a school like Vanderbilt to have the opportunity to play in tournaments like this.”

The Commodores will send senior Charlie Ewing, juniors Ben Fogler, Jordan Janico, and Hunter Stewart, and freshman Matthias Schwab.

“Our focus has continued to be on doing the simple things correctly and how well we do that this week will have a huge impact on how we perform,” said Limbaugh.

The Vanderbilt five will begin their tournament at 8 a.m. ET off of the first tee and will play in the first group with Texas Tech and Alabama.
