Vandy concludes fall season at Hawk Classic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt concludes the fall portion of its schedule this weekend at Maryland-Eastern Shore’s Hawk Classic, held at the Millsboro Lanes in Millsboro, Delaware.

Vandy’s Hawk Classic History

  • Vanderbilt has won this tournament more than any other—six times—and, at one point, Vanderbilt had won five Hawk Classic titles in six years. Vandy has competed in this tournament more than any other over the years.
  • Last year the Commodores led the tournament most of the way but lost three Sunday matches by 4-3 margins to place fourth.

Last Time Out

  • The Commodores finished second at Stephen F. Austin’s Ladyjack Classic.
  • It was a monster weekend for the second-ranked Dores, notching the program’s sixth 300 Baker game, compiling four 5-Game Baker sets that are among the 10 best in school history, watching freshman Alyssa Ballard win the individual championship and earning the No. 1 team seed.
