NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt track and field will kick off its outdoor season at North Florida’s Hampton Inn River City Relays in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Commodores closed out their indoor season at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where Janie Ford, Marta Sivina and Falon Spearman earned All-America honors. Ford, the SEC Freshman Field Athlete of the Year, finished fourth overall with a school-record score of 4,405 points, while Sivina earned an eighth-place finish with 4,261 points. Both earned a spot on the All-America first team. Spearman clocked 8.16 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles for a 13th-place finish.
For her achievements during the indoor season, Tyla Lumley was named the SEC Co-Newcomer Runner of the Year. At the indoor conference championships, the Commodores totaled 18 points. Ford won the pentathlon, becoming the first-ever freshman to accomplish the feat. Sivina placed fourth overall in the multi for her fourth scoring performance at SECs. In the long jump, Lena Gooden earned an eighth-place finish with a 6.20-meter jump to put points on the board for Vandy. To end the meet, the 4×400-meter relay team of Ford, Faith Franklin, Josie Donelson and Madyson Wilson placed seventh with a time of 3:32.72, ranked second all-time at Vanderbilt.
As a group, the Dores set eight school records and added 52 marks to the program’s all-time top 10 lists in 2025-26. Looking at the outdoor record books, current Vanderbilt student-athletes own three program records and 27 Vandy all-time top 10 marks.
