Distance Dores Compete at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – A pair of distance runners for the Commodores contended on day 1 of the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State on Thursday night.

Nick Laning started the day off for Vanderbilt in the men’s 1500 meters, competing in his first event for the Dores this season. Laning set a personal best in the event, finishing with a time of 3:48.53.

McKenzie Yanek’s first collegiate outdoor race was tonight’s 10,000 meters. Her time of 34:10.30 is now the No.2 time in school history in the event and 21st overall on the night.

Day 2 of the Raleigh Relays will showcase Niki Narayani, Haley Walker, Caroline Eck, and Grace Jensen in the 1500 meters beginning at 3:25 p.m. CT.

Divine Oladipo will compete at the 2022 Ole Miss Classic in both the shot put and discus on Saturday. Live results for Oladipo’s events can be found here.
