AUSTIN, Texas – Kristen Denk is set to compete in pole vault on Thursday for the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas.
The competition will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be aired on ESPN3.
The North Royalton, Ohio native has had an incredible season. Denk set and broke her own school record and become Vanderbilt’s first SEC pole vault champion.
Denk advanced to the championships after clearing only two bars, ultimately 13-8.25 (4.17 meters) at the NCAA Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Florida.
Six other SEC women will compete in the event: one from Tennessee, three from Arkansas, one from Ole Miss and one from Georgia.
