JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Kristen Denk continued her streak of solid performances in the pole vault, clearing 13-8.25 (4.17 meters) to qualify for the NCAA championships.
Denk only needed to clear two bars to qualify.
Jenn Edobi competed in the 800-meter quarterfinals, but came up just short of qualifying with a 2:06.46.
“It was another good race by Jenn,” head coach Steve Keith said. “She was just a few tenths and a couple of places short. She has represented herself and our program very well. We are so proud of all she’s accomplished. Kristen is in very good form and had a very solid effort to qualify. We’re very excited to see her compete with the best in the country at the NCAAs.”
Margaret Ollinger cleared 12-10.25 (3.92 meters) in pole vault.
Denk will be back in action in Austin, Texas on June 6 for the NCAA championships.
