Vandy resumes fall training Tuesday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt baseball continues fall training this week after a competitive exhibition Saturday against Wake Forest.

The Dores and Demon Deacons battled for 18 innings at Hawkins Field. Troy LaNeve highlighted the Vanderbilt offense with a pair of home runs. The Commodore pitching staff held Wake Forest to one run on five hits over the final 10 innings.

The Dores resume fall training at approximately 2:15 p.m. Tuesday followed by three intrasquad scrimmages throughout the remainder of the week.

Tuesday: Training at 2:15
Wednesday: Training at 2:30, Scrimmage at 4:15
Thursday: Training at 2:15, Scrimmage at 4:15
Friday: Training at 2:30, Scrimmage at 4:45

Vanderbilt’s training sessions and scrimmages are open to the public. Times for training sessions and scrimmages are subject to change.

Entry to Hawkins Field will be via the outfield gate located behind right field at the corner of Jess Neely Drive and 25th Avenue. Due to ongoing construction, spectator seating will only be available in the outfield bleachers for all training sessions.

Vanderbilt will wrap up its fall schedule with the three-game David Williams Fall Classic (Nov. 10, 12, 16).
