Commodores Fall at Ninth-Ranked Arkansas

Vanderbilt suffers first road defeat

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Vanderbilt lost on the road for the first time this season, falling 3-0 at No. 9 Arkansas Sunday.

The Razorbacks struck early with a pair of goals in the first four minutes. Vanderbilt settled in and finished with three shots in the first half.

Arkansas added a third goal in the 49th minute and the Commodores were unable to find the back of the net in the second half. It’s the first time this season the Commodores have been held scoreless.

Vanderbilt falls to 8-2-3 (2-2-2 SEC) while Arkansas moves to 9-2-1 (4-1-0 SEC).

The Commodores return home to face South Carolina Friday at 7 p.m. on SEC Network+.
