Commencement Held For Spring Sports 5/19/2006 Vanderbilt University held a ceremony Friday morning for those student-athletes who were unable to attend Commencement last week due to athletic obligations. Three baseball players and eight track & fielders were honored in the ceremony held in the ballroom at the Student Life Center on campus. Chancellor E. Gordon Gee was on hand for the Commencement as well as teammates, coaches and family members of the baseball and track & field athletes including baseball Head Coach Tim Corbin and Track & Field Head Coach Lori Shepard. The baseball team is currently hosting their final regular home series of the season, winning a berth to the SEC Tournament in a win over South Carolina Thursday night. Track & Field finished out their season at the SEC Track & Field Championships last week, returning with a 10th place finish. |
