The 2020 season is the first for Caden Thomson, a former student and graduate assistant at Louisiana Tech, as an offensive graduate assistant at Vanderbilt.
At Louisiana Tech, Thomson contributed to the Bulldog offense under current Vanderbilt offensive coordinator Todd Fitch.
In 2019, Thomson was an offensive graduate assistant at Louisiana Tech, working with slot receivers, tight ends and fullbacks. The Bulldogs went 10-3 in 2019, capping the season with a 14-0 victory over Miami (Fla.) in the Independence Bowl.
From 2016 to 2018, Thomson served as a volunteer student assistant at Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs captured four consecutive bowl victories with Thomson contributing to the staff.
Thomson lettered as a receiver and quarterback at Hallsville High School in east Texas. He also lettered as a pitcher on the Hallsville baseball team.
In 2018, Thomson earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Louisiana Tech. He is working toward a master’s degree in leadership and organizational performance from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College.
